HEAD OF SALES - Lima

ABOUT YOU

We are currently looking for a Head of Sales to analyze, organize, plan and control the business management in our affiliate in Peru. You will report directly to the General Manager and develop sales objectives, manage the Sales Team and contribute to strategic decisions as part of the Management team. You’re responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

• Determine the optimal structure of the Sales Team and lead all sales activities based on the Marketing and Business Plan
• Contribute to the recruiting and identification of talent among the Sales Force; define and participate in trainings of the Sales Force
• Determine and lead sales activities (field and administrative), based on the objectives outlined in the Marketing Plan, and lead targeting execution (doctors and pharmacies)
• Implement, monitor and analyze compliance with defined key performance ratio to measure the sales force effectiveness (SFE)
• Together with Head of Marketing and Head of Medical Affairs, create and implement training programs to enhance sales force skills
• Analyze activities of the Medical Representatives and Territory Managers on the field and provide feedback/coaching to ensure the effective alignment with marketing guidelines, the proper use of tools and the compliance with company standards
• Elaborate, prepare and complete the annual sales budget and profit forecast together with the Management Team
• Develop the monthly sales budget in collaboration with the Head of Finances & Administration
• Determine objectives by territory (sales and market share objectives) and the monthly sales plan channel including its achievements in coordination with the Territory Managers
• Track total sales results and results per territory (individual sales target, DDD and prescriptions) and prepare operational Sales monthly analysis reports
• Contribute to commercial channel management and networking with main customers (Distributors, Pharmacy chains, Key Opinion Leaders and Key Stakeholders)
• Prepare and implement the annual sales promotions/rebates for pharmacy chains and distributors in agreement with the General Manager
• Direct, control and review Sales Force expenses and expenses related to those activities
• Participate in monthly meetings and continuous coordination with all heads of OM Pharma, especially the head of Medical Affairs and Head of Marketing


For this challenging position we are searching for an experienced and open-minded person who brings a positive attitude towards innovation and passion for Sales activities. Furthermore you bring fulfill the following criteria:

• Professional Degree in Administration, Marketing, industrial engineering or a related field
• Graduate studies in Marketing Sales or Business Administration
• Experience of minimum five years as Territory Manager in the pharmaceutical industry
• Leadership and team management experience
• Deep knowledge of Peruvian pharmaceutical market and demonstrate business network
• Expertise in the Institutional market (Army and Police Hospitals, Essalud, MINSA, Clinics, and Insurance companies) would be a big plus
• Profound knowledge of auditing pharmaceutical market tools: DDD, Close up, Focus Mix
• Excellent English skills, both in written and spoken conversation
• Very good Windows software skills
